Shostakovich Piano Concerto No.2
KS3–5

Designed for advanced piano students in Key Stage 3 upwards, our concerto project is an exciting opportunity to perform Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No.2 in F major, Op. 102, with an orchestra.
Places are limited and students will need to be working at Grade 8 level or above.

Our tutor, Helen Reid, will be working with the group in 1-2-1 and small group sessions.
The project will culminate in an orchestral rehearsal workshop day and final celebratory performance for friends and family in July 2025.

Sunday 17th November, 2024: Introductory group and 1-2-1 sessions, Wellington School

Sunday 16th February, 2025: Group and 1-2-1 sessions, Wellington School

Sunday 4th May, 2025: 1-2-1 sessions, Wellington School

Sunday 13th July, 2025: Workshop, rehearsal and final performance, Wellington School
