Podium Project:
KS4–5

Designed for musicians in Key Stage 4 upwards, our Podium project is an exciting opportunity for musicians to learn how to conduct an ensemble. While you don’t need to have any personal orchestral experience to participate, students will need to be confident notation readers.

We offer a varied range of activities:

  • Online small group sessions to learn the basics with our experienced and enthusiastic tutor, Katherine Stonham
  • In-person practical sessions to put your skills into practice. Starting with your conducting peers, and moving on to working with small ensembles from our strings and wind tuition schools, you will build up your confidence and skills in fun and informal sessions
  • Conducting Experience day to complete our project, you will lead and conduct your very own orchestral ensemble, all under the guidance and support of our tutor, Katherine
