Jonathan Daglish
Composer
Jonathan joined South West Music School’s composition program in 2018. He was mentored by jazz flautist Eddie Parker, a founding member of Loose Tubes. Through the SWMS programme, he attended residential music schools and workshops, developing his collaborative skills and expanding his compositional style.
In 2019, Jonathan studied composition and creative music technology at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He has since built a strong portfolio, working with major names like Native Instruments, Universal Production Music, and the European Association of Conservatoires. His collaborations also include Jordan Rees (Soul, 1917) and Ty Cerdd.
Jonathan is now a Product Development Manager at Audio Imperia. He oversees virtual instrument creation for film, TV, and game composers, including Charlie Clouser, Lorne Balfe, and Steve Jablonsky. He has led projects with Budapest Scoring, Capellen Production Music (Two Steps from Hell), and Scott Michael Smith (Shazam, IT: Chapter 2).
In 2023, Ignite Symphony Orchestra commissioned Jonathan’s piece A Cruel Twist of Fate, premiering at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. That year, he also worked with Millie Andrews and Oliver Trigg to arrange 21 theme tunes for the BBC/Cardiff Museum’s Through the Lens event, part of the BBC centenary celebrations.
